The New Integrated Approach Social Studies Workbook 5 has been carefully crafted to meet the requirements of the National Standards Curriculum (NSC), the Primary Exit Profile (PEP) but primarily the needs of 21st Century learners – our students!

This text is student centered and the activities seek to :

• Bring out the natural curiosity of students, provide them with multiple opportunities to think., explore solution seek evaluate self/others, analyze and make inferences.
• Enable students to brainstorm, make connections, participate in discussions, develop leadership skills and work cohesively in a team
• Harness students’ creativity as they collaborate to complete curriculum based Performance Tasks (essays, poems, brochures, letters, oral presentation as well as hands on activities), that will be rated against clear criteria or Rubrics.
• Utilize Information, Communication Technology (ICT) to tap into students’ interests, strengths and learning styles, so  students can expedite completion of tasks, use alternate methods to solve problems and be equipped to function globally.
