THE NEW INTEGRATED APPROACH RELIGIOUS EDUCATION WORKBOOK 5

The New Integrated Approach Religious Education Workbook 5 is designed to facilitate the teaching and learning of varied religious groups to students at the Primary Level, particularly Grade 5. Its contents are aligned with the Units of the Grade 5 National Standards Curriculum as outlined by the Ministry of Education. The three Unit Titles that comprise the  National Standards  Curriculum are:

• Major World Religions present in the Caribbean
• Religious Groups that began in Jamaica
• Some Religious Groups that began in other Caribbean countries

Students will learn about the different religions that came to the Caribbean from other countries and the impact each religion has on the society. The activities are integrated with the other subject areas and are designed creatively to stimulate learning, evoke critical thinking and to challenge learner. Some of the activities also lend themselves to research which will motivate students to develop their research skills.
